For my current home, I bought a derelict 18th century farmhouse and built a modern wooden box within the original structure. A building within a building. The last slide shows the date over the barn “Year 2 of the French Republic”. This is extremely rare and is an example of the replacement of the Christian calendar with the French revolutionary one which started again at 0.
