Origins was the first online genealogy service in Britain, and the first service to provide access to UK government data via subscription access to hundreds of millions of records of UK and Irish genealogical data.
I co-founded Origins in 1999. It was one of the first Internet startups in the UK and was acquired by D.C. Thomson publishers.
